Hope Day

Dear Universal Church of Christ members,

Saturday, June 21st 2003, a miracle happened at Jodi House, one inspired by and performed by members of your Congregation. That morning a large group of church members arrived at Jodi House and armed with paint, brushes and rollers, rakes, gardening tools and the world's most powerful weed whacker proceeded to transform our house and garden from its tired, worn and rundown state into a wonderfully fresh, welcoming place in which both the members and the garden will be nourished. We who witnessed it are still awestruck at the ease, friendship, good cheer and spirit with which this miracle happened. It felt for all the world like an extended family had come to grace us with their help and then included us in their celebration barbecue afterwards.

We know we speak not only for our selves, but for the entire Jodi House membership when we offer our deepest and 'still not quite believing our good fortune' gratitude to all of you who made this possible.
