Jodi House hosted its 8th Annual Run, Walk & Roll on Thursday, May 19, at Chase Palm Park in Santa Barbara. This event is a Jodi House tradition, bringing together members, staff and supporters for a day filled with exercise and good times.
Festivities began at 10 a.m. as participants arrived to the park for lawn games and music. As the beginning of the walk approached, everyone gathered in the grass for a quick stretch session to prep for the courses ahead. The 5K route stretched from Chase Palm Park to the bird sanctuary and back, while the 1-miler had a turnaround spot at the end of the park.
Lunch was provided to all participants courtesy of South Coast Deli. There were sandwiches, cookies and chips for everyone to enjoy throughout the early afternoon.
The staff at Jodi House also surprised Gabby with a cake for her last week as Jodi House’s Program Director. She will be joining the team at a nonprofit in Orange County, but she will be sorely missed as a part of the Jodi House team.
Run, Walk & Roll is one of Jodi House’s biggest events throughout the year. This marks the first time Run, Walk & Roll hosted an in-person option since before the COVID-19 pandemic began. Participants were also given the option to complete their run, walk or roll virtually to make the event accessible to those who live outside of the Santa Barbara County area.
Jodi House would like to thank the following organizations for sponsoring this year’s Run, Walk & Roll: CenCal Health, Cottage Health, Sansum Clinic and BEGA North America.
